Our Digital Inclusion Charter partner EE’s Techy Tea Party took place today.
This is an annual event in partnership with the Royal Voluntary Service and Jobcentre Plus designed to teach essential online skills to those most in need of help.
2,500 volunteers were standing by at over 500 events in store and within communities to show people how they can benefit from everyday technology, with many getting online for the first time today.
This morning, at EE’s headquarters in Paddington, a couple of participants who are looking for work were shown how to register on a number of job sites, while others wanted to learn about shopping on eBay and using WhatsApp.
Events like this are undoubtedly a great contribution towards our collective goal of reducing the number of UK Adults offline.
